Sealants, Membranes, and Flashings
David K. Bates with OAC Services will discuss Sealants, Membranes, and Flashings. David will discuss the importance of understanding the intent of the building enclosure as the first step in successful construction of a building enclosure. He will also talk about choosing appropriate materials for construction of the building enclosure, detailing with those materials, and working with the contractor to assemble those materials in such a way that works as a complete assembly.
David Bates is an Architect and has concentrated on investigating and repairing buildings since 1995. He provides building enclosure design and observation services for new and existing buildings and has an affinity for chasing and locating leaks through the building enclosure.
Presentation is approved for 1 hour of AIA continuing education credits.
